Much of the at-height work on Leeds' newer hotels, student blocks and residential towers happens either while other trades are still on site or once the building is occupied. Rope access fits both: the team works independently of scaffold and cranes, and where the permanent roof anchors aren't in yet, a temporary anchorage system can be designed for the job.
At Hyatt Place, Leeds, we installed two sets of illuminated built-up lettering for Ascot during the construction phase, working alongside other trades under principal contractor GMI Construction. With no permanent anchorage available, we designed and installed a temporary anchorage system so the install could go ahead safely. Further west, in the Wessenden Valley near Huddersfield, our environmental team cleared rhododendron from steep slopes and crags for Moors for the Future Partnership, working from driven ground anchors.
On construction sites we plan around the principal contractor's programme and the other trades on the elevation, with RAMS, lift plans where needed and on-site supervision by an IRATA Level 3 technician, as the IRATA code of practice requires.

Rope-access technicians provide close-up visual inspection of this high-level fabric — recording loose masonry, failed pointing, cracked stone and defective lead — and supply a referenced photographic record for the inspecting architect or surveyor to fold into the quinquennial (QI) or condition report. We provide the access and the findings; the appointed inspector retains the report.
